The educational programme in law started at the University of Bergen in 1969, and in 1980 the Faculty of Law was established as a separate faculty. The law programme, leading to the first degree in law, cand. jur. degree, is six years of full time studies.The programme is further presented here.
The Faculty also offers a three years extensive postgraduate doctoral programme, leading to the degree Dr. juris.
